Short answer
Open the Netflix Manage your membership page in Safari, sign in, tap Cancel, then Finish Cancellation. Netflix says that's the only way to end a membership it bills: deleting the app or signing out doesn't cancel. If Netflix shows up in Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Apple bills you and you cancel there instead.

First: who bills you for Netflix?
Open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions. If Netflix is listed there, Apple bills you: use the Apple steps below. If not, Netflix or a partner (a phone, TV or broadband package) bills you.
Cancel Netflix on its website
- Go to the Manage your membership page on netflix.com in Safari. Sign in if asked.
- Tap Cancel.
- Under Cancel, tap Finish Cancellation.
Netflix sends a confirmation email to the address on the account.
Cancel Netflix when Apple bills you
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then Netflix.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. Scroll if you don't see it.
When does Netflix stop?
You won't be charged again. If there's time left in the period you paid for, you can keep watching until the account closes at the end of it. Your Payment History shows the date. If the account is on hold, it closes straight away when you cancel.
Pause instead of cancelling
Netflix lets you pause for a month from the Cancel Membership page (Pause for 1 Month). You keep watching until the next billing date, then you aren't charged for a month. Netflix says pausing isn't available on the Basic plan or with some payment methods such as Direct Debit, gift cards and some partners, and you can pause for 3 months in total.

Does deleting the Netflix app cancel my subscription?
No. Netflix says signing out or deleting the app doesn't cancel. Cancel on the Manage your membership page, or in Settings, your name, Subscriptions if Apple bills you.
Can I still watch Netflix after cancelling?
Yes, until the end of the billing period you paid for. Netflix says the account cancels automatically then. If the account was on hold, it closes immediately.
Why can't I see a Cancel option on Netflix?
A payment partner bills you, such as a phone or TV package. On your Netflix Account page, look under Membership for a link or instructions to cancel with that partner.
Can I pause Netflix instead?
